To test the Quality Defect Detector has been installed correctly:
Open the umldi-File from the project "VIDE PIM (Annotated)" (This should show a class model including several pre-annotated quality defects
Press the Show/Hide Button (or activate the command in the VIDE-DD menu) in order to show or hide the annotated defects. This will only switch the visualization of the annotations and not change the annotations in the model itself.
Open another project such as “VIDE PIM” or “DEMO”. Make sure that it has a defect detection config file (“.de.fhg.iese.modeldefectdetection.xml”) or copy such a config file into the project.
Select “Remove Annotations” from the VIDE-DD menu in order to remove all previously existing defect annotations.
Select “Scan Project” from the VIDE-DD menu in order to analyze the system and diagnose quality defects. Diagnosed defects are annotated within the model (you can see them in the model outline.
