To check the proper functioning of Topcased and VIDE profile it is needed to perform the following procedure:
Run Eclipse with Topcased plug-ins.
Create a new Topcased project – name it services-validation.
Go to this project in project browser, open its Model folder. Place vide files (vide.profile.uml and VidePrimitiveTypes.library.uml) in this folder.
Create a new Topcased UML Diagram and confirm default dialogs.
You should see a newly created diagram containing a package DefaultName.
Right-Click on the package in Outline view and select Load Resource…
Select Browse Workspace and navigate to services-validation project. Select vide.profile.uml and confirm with ok.
You should see the vide profile in outline view under Additional Resources.
Right-click on the package in the Outline view. Select the Apply profile option.
Select vide profile. Press Add and confirm with OK.
You should see the profile applied to the package.
From this step you can also proceed to validation of the service modelling features (see section ).
