In order to incorporate existing relational database and other legacy domain information into the model driven development process, VIDE may use ONAR to make this information easy to describe and communicate through the construction of ontologies and semantically enriched Web services. The legacy data sources become then available to VIDE through consumed Web service interfaces. This part of VIDE functionality is outside the scope of the public prototype.
