The VIDE platform covers the whole model driven development lifecycle and uniquely allows the active participation of the informed user such as the business manager in addition to the business analyst, software designers and programmers.
This book is designed to give guidance to the main user groups; as such it describes the particular uses the tool will have for each user group giving a use case and step by step guide. The users it details are the business user (see Section 2.1) the business analyst ( see Section 2.2), the analyst/designer ( see Section 2.3) and the VIDE programmer (see Section 2.4).
The use of the additional modules is also described in a similar way with GUI prototyping at Section 3.1, enterprise legacy data integration at Section 3.3, aspect orientation at Section 3.4 and defect detection at Section 3.6.
